Petrol Engine or Electric Concrete Scarifying Machine

Good quality concrete scarifiers make light work of the toughest jobs. The scarifier works by spinning a large internal drum which is covered in cutting teeth over concrete to remove material. They are ideal for a range of tasks such as lowering concrete slabs or removing trip hazards from uneven foot paths.

• 250mm (10") wide with Honda GX270 Commercial engine

The Paddock units are an extremely heavy duty design making them ideal for the tradesman and professional contractor to use on a daily basis. Can be used to scarify concrete, asphalt and steel floors to name a few.

How to Scarify Floors

The key to successful floor scarifying is performing multiple small cut passes rather then trying to take huge amounts in a single pass. Taking up to 6mm in a single pass with a petrol engine scarifier is achievable however the results can be variable depending on the condition of your scarifier teeth and the hardness of the material you're removing. Single phase electric scarifiers are limited by the motor power output and removing 2-4mm per pass is often more realistic. Maintaining drum RPM is important and successful operations will quickly recognise if they are overloading the unit or can set their depth of cut deeper.

Each scarifier features a vacuum attachment port which is important for minimising dust pollution.

The engines are stored and transported with only enough oil to keep the unit lubricated and additional oil will need to be added before starting. For ease of shipping some assembly is required.
