A great set of digital weighing scales for use in vet clinics and other small animal (up to 200kg) weighing facilities. Ideal for dogs, cats, pets, birds, sheep, goats and more. Great for grey hound racing and show dog events. Capable of giving quick, accurate readings while allowing for animal movement through the hold function. Adjustable feet allow for easy leveling of the platform providing more accurate readings. The monitor can be hard mounted on walls or desks using the attached mounting bracket or left mobile with the extendable 3m cord. The monitor is powered by 4 x AAA batteries.

Excellent Quality & Convenient to Have at Home

We have two large male Dobermanns - Busta & Ziggy.

Busta, who is 9y 9m old has Dilated Cardiomyopathy and Mitral Valve Regurgitation. He also has some orthopaedic issues - an old Achilles Tendon injury - that he had surgical intervention for in January 2019. He has ongoing post-surgical issues with his right hind leg as a result of the Achilles Tendon injury but fortunately he does not have arthritis.

With his current medical conditions it’s very important to keep his weight stable and on the lower side of the healthy range for his size - I try to keep him between 39-40kg.

Although our local veterinary clinics are very accommodating and allow us to call in any time to weigh both boys, it’s not always convenient. Busta is not dog friendly at all and we have to time weigh-in visits around the Vet Clinic’s medical appointments. It takes a bit of wrangling and can be stressful for Busta. He’s at high risk for sudden death from his DCM and it’s important to minimise his stress and ensure he doesn’t get over threshold.

I had been wanting to purchase a Vet & Animal Scale for home use for a few years. I contacted a number of different companies and received quotes. After comparing the different brands and features (they are essentially all the same) I decided to purchase these scales from Scintex.

Every time I was in a financial position to buy the scales something else would come up that was a higher priority. I kept checking the price periodically to see whether they were on sale at Scintex. I hadn’t checked for a few months and I suddenly had the urge to check again. I am so glad I did, they were on sale for $499.00 reduced from $799.00. I had never seen the price this low ever and we decided on the spot to buy them.

It is the best decision - we have the scale set up in the room where their crates are located and it is so convenient to ask them to hop on the scale in the comfort of our own home without the stress of driving to the vet and hoping we don’t run into any other dogs.

The scales are top quality, very accurate and super easy to set up. I would highly recommend purchasing the Scintex scales as an investment towards monitoring and maintaining a healthy weight for your dogs and any other animals you may have.
