Description
Centrifuges are mechanical devices that utilise centrifugal forces to separate products of different densities from one another. In diesel fuel or oil applications they can be used to separate particles of 0.5 micron size and larger from the bulk liquid.
Oil and Fuel Centrifuges
- Separate diesel and oil particles as small as 0.5 micron
- Use with diesel, fuels, engine oils, biodiesel, SVO.
By pumping the liquid through the centrifuge the internal rotor will spin at speeds over 7,000rpm and generate a centrifugal force approximately 2,000 times greater than gravity. This spinning force drives solids from the liquid and cause them to separate and collect on the internal surface of the centrifuge.
For best results the liquid being centrifuged should have a low viscosity similar to water or diesel. Therefore, in oil centrifuging applications, the oil should be heated prior to being pumped through the centrifuge to provide the best results. Oil temperatures of approximately 60-80C are ideal.
All centrifuges are supplied with a Cut Off Valve (C.O.V) fitted. The C.O.V is a spring loaded valve installed in the inlet port of the centrifuge. This valve ensures flow only enters the centrifuge when it's above the set pressure. This feature makes the centrifuges ideal for installation on automotive engines cleaning your engine oil. When the engine is cold and the oil pump is producing low pressure, flow will not enter the centrifuge ensuring all oil is directed to the engine. Once the engine oil heats and the pump has excess capacity, the C.O.V will be forced open allowing the oil to be cleaned.
These centrifuges are manufactured from quality components ensuring a long and trouble free operating life.
Centrifuge Size 25
The smaller of our range of centrifuges, these are ideal for low flow applications and diesel engines with sumps from 8 - 25L. Filter and polish engine oils, hydraulic oils, diesel as well as other fluids. We also supply a range of centrifuge kits, packages and accessories.
Centrifuge Size 60
The largest size centrifuge we currently offer. For on vehicle use match with diesel engine sump sizes 25-90L. Ideal for fine filtration of fuels and oils such as motor oil, diesel and biodiesel.
Centrifuge Testimonials
'The rotor bowl contained ~200 grams of carbon soot, approx 8-10mm layer was found after 398hrs or running equipment.'
'We have installed the oil centrifuge system on our bus. The engine oil life has almost doubled from 18,000km to 28,000km and still the oil is in good condition. The retro-fit centrifugal oil cleaner is simple to install, maintain and service, thanking you.'
'The centrifugal oil cleaners fitted are working satisfactorily and meeting all the claims made. The oil drain period is double on new and reconditioned engines and is approximately 60% more on old engines. Particle analysis show particles of between 1 to 30 microns. This means that the abbration causing particles are totally eliminated. We expect the life of the engines to go up substantially. The vehicles are running for more than 1yr without any problem.'
