Description
A diesel generator built by YANMAR which exceeds all expectations. YANMAR is the leading diesel engine in Australia and these units are matched to quality Italian built alternators. Intuitive design that utilises isolation mounts between the engine, alternator assembly and frame, means it runs quieter than its rivals. The clean burn, low emission, diesel engine, takes care of the environment without compromising power efficiency.
Designed using YANMARs proprietary direct injection technology, these engines achieve the perfect match between the combustion chamber and injection system, which results in maximum combustion efficiency.

Diesel vs Petrol Engine Generators?
Diesel engines require very little maintenance and are arguably more reliable when compared to petrol engines, which is an advantage in remote locations. For decades, people only knew diesel as a dirty, smelly, truck fuel. But its done a complete 180 to give petrol a run for its money literally. These generators are ideally suited to a range of user requirements, such as off grid living and farming, power outage back-up power supply, trades and construction work. Small enough to fit in your UTE or 4WD, and manageable with a 2 person lift. Japanese and Italian quality you can depend on.
Diesel engines are often a favorite due to the higher efficiency and in-turn lower fuel consumption costs. Higher efficiency over the petrol alternative is achieved as a result of the diesel motors higher compression. Diesel generators last longer, cost less to run and take longer to depreciate in value. Why do they last longer? Because diesel engines dont have to work as hard as petrol engines to achieve the same power output. Additionally, diesel engines are less susceptible to drawing in moisture and corrosion, making them more reliable for for emergency back-up power supplies.
These generators are commonly used on construction sites for powering pumps, tools, lighting and other 240v appliances. Large 15 amp general purpose output sockets mean you can run common household 10 amp appliances or more industrial equipment requiring 15 amp sockets. An integrated 12v output allows batteries to be charged directly from the generator.
When selecting a generator, it's important to consider the power draw from the appliances you plan to connect. You must also consider the peak start up power draw from the appliances to ensure your generator doesn't trip as a result of a high initial start up load. This is especially important for high start up load equipment such as welders and pumps. In general, diesel engine generators are better equipped to handle higher start up current loads and will perform better to load changes during operation.
