Sherpa 4x4 ATV 4,500lb Synthetic Rope Winch
Compact Recovery Power for Quad Bikes & ATVs
The Sherpa ATV winch is designed for riders who want dependable self-recovery capability without fitting an oversized winch to a smaller vehicle.
Its compact dimensions and ATV-style mounting pattern make it suitable for a range of compatible quad bikes, ATVs and side-by-sides, while the 4,500lb rated line pull provides useful recovery capacity for mud, inclines and difficult terrain.
12m Synthetic Rope Included
The winch is supplied with 12m of 5mm synthetic rope with a stated breaking strength of approximately 6,000lb.
Synthetic rope is lightweight and easy to handle and is paired with the supplied aluminium hawse fairlead for a compact recovery setup.
Note: The stated rope breaking strength is not a working load limit (WLL).
Handlebar Control & Wireless Remote
The winch includes a handlebar-mounted control switch for convenient operation from the ATV, along with a wireless remote control kit for situations where the operator needs to control the winch from a short distance away.
The supplied wiring components assist installation into a compatible 12V ATV electrical system.
Genuine Albright Solenoid
The Sherpa ATV winch uses a genuine Albright International heavy-duty solenoid in the control system, providing high-current switching for demanding winching applications.
IP68 Rated Construction
The winch carries an IP68 ingress rating, with seals designed to help protect internal components from dust, mud and water ingress when correctly installed and maintained.
This makes it well suited to off-road environments where the winch may be exposed to wet, muddy and dusty conditions.
3-Stage Planetary Gearbox
A 200:1 3-stage planetary gearbox provides the mechanical reduction required to convert the motor's output into controlled pulling force.
The winch also features a 180° free-spooling clutch, allowing rope to be pulled from the drum quickly when setting up a recovery.
Automatic Brake
An automatic brake helps hold the load when winching is stopped during recovery operations.
The Sherpa ATV winch is designed as a vehicle recovery and pulling winch. It must not be used as a lifting hoist or for suspended-load applications.
Off-Road & Property Applications
While primarily designed for ATV and quad bike recovery, the winch may also be used for suitable pulling applications around farms and properties, provided the winch, mounting system, anchor points and associated equipment are appropriate for the task.
Always remain within the winch's rated line pull and use appropriately rated recovery equipment.
Important: The synthetic rope must be correctly wound onto the drum under load before first use. Refer to the Sherpa winch manual for the correct rope-spooling procedure.

Installation & Safe Operation
Before installation, confirm the ATV, quad bike or side-by-side has a suitable winch mounting system and that the vehicle electrical system can support the winch's current demand.
The supplied mounting hardware and wiring components suit many common installations, but some vehicles may require a model-specific mounting plate or additional installation components.
The 4,500lb (2,045kg) rated line pull is the winch's rated pulling capacity and should not be interpreted as a working load limit for the complete recovery system. Mounting points, anchor points, shackles and other recovery equipment must be appropriately selected for the recovery being performed.
Winch performance varies with drum layer, battery condition, electrical supply, installation and operating conditions. Observe the winch's intermittent duty cycle and allow adequate cooling during prolonged or high-load use.
Important: This product is intended for vehicle recovery and suitable pulling applications only. Do not use it for lifting people, suspended loads or hoist applications. Always keep people clear of the winch line and follow the Sherpa installation and operating instructions.
