Filtration is important for removing rust, sediment, odours and other contaminants from your drinking water supply. Selecting a quality filter housing is important to ensure you don't further contaminate the product you're trying to filter.
Constructed from 316 stainless steel, these are high quality filter housings not to be confused with lower material grade competitors. These housings will not rust or contaminate your water, beer or other beverages. Suitable for hot or cold services. Stainless steel will not degrade if exposed to full UV light making them suitable for outdoors installations in harsh environments. Use on boats and ships around salt water without fear of corrosion or in the outback under direct sun exposure. Where plastic housing will eventually discolour, crack and leak, these housing will be around to pass down to future generations.
These housings take the commonly available 10" x 2.5" filter elements. This size element is very economical to purchase and is available in a range of micron ratings and materials of construction. Selecting a housing which takes a common size element is important as you will always be able to source replacements and the price will be highly competitive.
Included with each housing is a strong mounting bracket. The top of the housing is attached to the base using a simple clamp ring design. This clamp ring is quick and easy to use. No special filter housing tool is needed, just undo the thumb nut. At the base of the housing is a threaded port and plug which can be used for draining the housing prior to element replacement if you wish. A valve and piping can be plumbed to this location if the installation requires it.
Filter Elements 10" x 2.5"
Being the most common size element in the market there are many brands and designs that will fit this housing. Choose from 1, 5, 10, 20, 50 or 100 micron element ratings. Elements infused with activated carbon are also common and these help remove dissolved contaminants and odour from the solution you're filtering.
Due to the diverse range of element options and multitude of suppliers in the market, Scintex does not stock the elements to suit this housing. These elements are so common they can be sourced from Bunnings and similar hardware stores plus many other shops often local saving on freight.
