The Paddock Difference
Honda GX Engine Pumps and Quality Components
Mounted to the skid is a quality Honda engine driven water pump or a KIPOR diesel engine equivalent. This pump is a high pressure model suited to firefighting applications meaning it delivers greater discharge pressures when compared to ordinary transfer pumps. Users can expect performance and reliability.
The skid has been designed with a 3m reinforced suction hose which can be removed from the tank if water is to be drawn from a nearby tank. The pump inlet is also supplied with quick cam lock connections meaning users can swap the suction hose to a different location if they wish. An optional extra is to order a longer suction hose allowing the pump set to draw directly from a dam or similar water source. The onboard pump can then be used to fill the onboard tank which is a handy feature.
Roto Moulded Tanks
These tanks are roto-moulded from high quality UV stabilised plastics to deliver a seamless and virtually leak proof storage solution. When designing plastic tanks many companies cut corners and leave out the expensive ingredients which make the plastic resistant to UV attack. The Paddock tanks have UV blockers and carbon black additives that give a high UV resistance. These tanks also use more raw material to deliver thicker walls and more strength and resistance to wear and tear and whilst this makes the tanks a little heavier, it's well worth it for the benefits.
Hose Reel and Nozzle
Included is a hose reel which neatly stores and protects 30m of 3/4" hose. The reel allows for fast deployment in the case of an emergency. The hose reel includes a manual handle so it's simple to clean up once done.
Fitted to the hose is a adjustable nozzle which is critical for successful fire fighting.

Optional Extra:
We can supply additional suction hose and fittings that allow users to switch the pump suction connection. This can be handy if you plan to use the onboard pump to fill the tank drawing from a water source such as a dam. The pump has a maximum suction lift of 7m vertically meaning in many cases if you can park next to a dam the pump will prime.
