Description

The Paddock™ 400L Fire Fighting Ute Tank is a heavy-duty mobile water and pump package designed for mounting in utes, trailers and service vehicles. Supplied with a high-pressure engine-driven water pump, 30m hose reel, adjustable spray nozzle and reinforced suction hose, the system is suitable for property water transfer, stock watering and appropriately planned fire-response applications.

Choose between a Honda petrol engine or KIPOR diesel engine pump configuration.

Paddock™ 400L Fire Fighting Ute Tank & Pump Package

The Paddock™ mobile water tank package combines a 400L rotomoulded polyethylene tank, engine-driven high-pressure water pump, steel mounting skid, 30m hose reel and spray nozzle into one ready-to-deploy system.

The package is designed for temporary or permanent installation in a suitable ute, trailer or service vehicle and can be used for:

  • Property fire-response water supply
  • Back-burning support where appropriately managed
  • Farm and acreage water transfer
  • Stock water replenishment
  • Remote water delivery
  • Wash-down applications
  • General mobile water transfer

Complete 400L Ute Tank Package

The kit is supplied with:

  • 400L UV-stabilised polyethylene water tank
  • Honda GX petrol high-pressure pump or KIPOR diesel pump option
  • 30m hose reel
  • 3/4" discharge hose
  • Adjustable firefighting-style spray nozzle
  • 3m reinforced suction hose
  • Quick-connect camlock suction fittings
  • Corrosion-resistant steel mounting skid

High-Pressure Engine Driven Pump

The pump is a high-pressure water transfer design suited to applications requiring more discharge pressure than a conventional general-purpose transfer pump.

Two engine configurations are available:

  • SPFT400P – Honda GX petrol engine
  • SPFT400D – KIPOR diesel engine

The pump has a stated maximum flow of 200 L/min and maximum pressure of approximately 735kPa / 106 PSI.

Actual operating flow depends heavily on hose length, elevation, nozzle setting and system restrictions. In typical nozzle operation, approximately 20–40 L/min may be common.

30m Hose Reel & Adjustable Spray Nozzle

The integrated manual hose reel carries 30m of 3/4" hose, providing useful reach around a vehicle, property or work area.

The hose is fitted with an adjustable spray nozzle so the operator can vary the discharge pattern to suit the application.

The manual reel helps keep the hose stored neatly when not in use and allows fast deployment when required.

Heavy-Duty Steel Skid

The tank, pump and hose reel are mounted on a corrosion-resistant steel skid rather than relying on the polyethylene tank itself to support the pumping equipment.

This provides a strong mounting structure for mobile applications where the unit may be exposed to vibration and rough operating conditions.

UV-Stabilised Rotomoulded Tank

The 400L tank is manufactured from UV-stabilised polyethylene using a rotational moulding process. The one-piece construction eliminates welded seams and provides resistance to corrosion.

The tank is designed with substantial wall thickness for durability in mobile and outdoor applications.

External Water Source Capability

The pump suction system uses a 3m reinforced 1-1/2" hose with quick-connect camlock fittings.

This allows the suction hose to be disconnected from the onboard tank and connected to another suitable water source where required.

Additional suction hose and fittings are available where a longer reach is needed.

Fill the Tank from a Dam or External Water Source

The onboard pump can also be used to draw from a suitable external water source and transfer water into the tank.

The pump has a stated maximum suction lift of approximately 7m vertically. Actual priming and suction performance will depend on hose length, water level, airtight connections and installation conditions.

Optional Suction Hose

Additional suction hose and fittings can be supplied for users who want to draw water from a dam, tank or other external source.

When using longer suction lines, keep the hose as short and direct as practical and ensure all suction-side connections remain airtight for reliable priming.

Vehicle & Trailer Installation

Before installation, confirm the vehicle or trailer has sufficient payload capacity for the tank, skid, pump and the full weight of the water.

A 400L water load alone weighs approximately 400kg, in addition to the approximately 150kg dry system weight.

The package must be securely mounted and restrained for transport in accordance with applicable vehicle load and restraint requirements.

Important Fire-Response Information

This unit can form part of a property fire-response or water-supply setup, but should not be relied upon as the sole means of bushfire protection.

Fire conditions can change rapidly and may exceed the capability of portable water equipment. Always follow applicable emergency warnings, evacuation advice and local fire authority guidance.
