Description
The GESPASA EA-90 Lubricant Gear Pump is a continuous-duty DC oil transfer pump available in 12V or 24V. Designed for transferring compatible lubricating oils, it delivers a stated free flow of approximately 20–25 L/min with SAE 20/50W oil at 25°C.
With a continuous-duty 0.37kW motor, internal bypass valve and battery clamps included, the EA-90 is well suited to bulk lubricant transfer in workshops, service vehicles, farms and industrial applications.

20–25 L/min Oil Transfer
The EA-90 has a stated free-flow transfer capacity of approximately 20–25 L/min when pumping SAE 20/50W lubricant at 25°C.
Actual flow will vary with oil viscosity and temperature as well as suction height, discharge head, hose diameter and length, fittings and other system restrictions.
Cold oil becomes more viscous and may significantly reduce flow while increasing the electrical load on the pump motor.
Continuous-Duty DC Motor
The EA-90 uses a 0.37kW, 1500RPM continuous-duty DC motor, making it suitable for applications requiring longer transfer periods than an intermittent-duty pump.
Continuous-duty operation is subject to the pump being used within its stated viscosity, electrical and operating limits.
12V & 24V Options
Select the version that matches the available DC electrical system:
- 12V DC: stated current consumption approximately 35–55A
- 24V DC: stated current consumption approximately 20–32A
The pump includes approximately 2m of power cable with battery clamps.
Ensure the power source, wiring and connections are capable of supplying the required current without excessive voltage drop.
Oil Viscosity
The maximum recommended oil viscosity for continuous-duty operation is 120 cSt.
Shorter-duration operation with higher-viscosity oils may be possible, but motor temperature must be monitored carefully.
The motor is not equipped with thermal overload protection. Do not rely on an automatic thermal cut-out to protect the motor from overheating.
Internal Bypass Valve
The pump incorporates an internal recirculation bypass valve, stated to open at approximately 5–6 bar. This provides protection against brief pressure increases or accidental outlet closure.
The bypass is a protective feature and should not be used for prolonged recirculation or continuous operation against a closed discharge.

Fluid Selection
The EA-90 is intended for compatible lubricating oils of average to lower viscosity, with SAE 20/50W oil at 25°C used for the supplied flow specification.
For fluids outside the stated application or where chemical compatibility is uncertain, confirm suitability before operation.
Installation & Operation
Use appropriately sized oil-rated hose and fittings and minimise unnecessary suction restrictions. Ensure electrical cables and connections are suitable for the high DC current required by the selected pump.
Oil viscosity varies substantially with temperature. If transferring cold or higher-viscosity lubricant, monitor pump performance and motor temperature and remain within the recommended operating limits.
