Description

The Paddock Tow Behind Manure Spreader is a heavy duty ground-driven spreader designed for farms, horse properties, acreages and professional landscaping applications. With an 820L hopper, twin wheel drive and replaceable rear beaters, it provides a simple and reliable way to distribute manure and soil-rich organic material across paddocks and fields.

Suitable for towing behind quad bikes, ATVs, tractors and utilities, the Paddock manure spreader combines high capacity with excellent manoeuvrability, making it practical for both open paddocks and tighter working areas around stables and sheds.

Ideal for Farms, Stables & Acreages

The Paddock manure spreader is designed for users who need to distribute organic material efficiently over larger areas. It is particularly well suited to horse properties, livestock farms and acreages where manure needs to be regularly removed from yards and redistributed across paddocks.

Typical applications include:

  • Horse manure spreading
  • Cattle manure spreading
  • Sheep and livestock manure
  • Stable and yard waste
  • Manure mixed with soil
  • Composted organic material
  • Paddock and pasture fertilisation

Ground-Driven Operation

The spreader is mechanically driven by the rotation of its wheels, meaning there is no PTO shaft, hydraulic supply or independent engine required.

Two control levers allow the operator to independently engage the floor conveyor and rear beater assembly.

During transport, the drive system can be disengaged so the spreader free-wheels behind the towing vehicle. When spreading is required, engage the conveyor and beater drives and the moving wheels power the complete spreading mechanism.

Conveyor & Rear Beater System

The floor conveyor gradually moves material towards the rear of the spreader where the rotating beaters break it apart and distribute it behind the machine.

This controlled feeding action helps provide a more consistent spread compared with simply dumping manure in piles.

T-Rod Web Chains: The floor conveyor uses heavy duty T-rod web chains designed for long service life under repeated agricultural use.

Replaceable Paddle Beaters: The rear beater assembly uses eight replaceable paddles to break up and distribute the manure. The bearing arrangement is accessible for straightforward maintenance.

Transport Tailgate

A dedicated transport tailgate can be lowered to prevent material from entering the rear beaters when spreading is not required.

This is useful when transporting a loaded spreader from a stable, manure pile or loading area to the paddock.

Once the spreader reaches the working area, the tailgate can be raised and the conveyor and beaters engaged.

Easy Towing & Manoeuvrability

The manure spreader uses an adjustable clevis hitch and can be connected to a wide range of towing vehicles including:

  • Quad bikes
  • ATVs and side-by-sides
  • Four wheelers
  • Tractors
  • Utilities

If the towing vehicle uses a removable tow ball, the ball can be removed and a suitable hitch pin passed through the tow tongue where compatible.

The hitch height can also be adjusted to help keep the spreader level behind different towing vehicles.

Heavy Duty Jockey Wheel

A 2000lb jockey wheel is included to support the drawbar when disconnected from the towing vehicle and assist with positioning the spreader during storage and hookup.

The jockey wheel swings away once the spreader is connected and ready for operation.

Built for Australian Conditions

The spreader uses heavy duty 12-gauge steel construction combined with a high-density poly vinyl floor. The robust frame, twin wheel drive and large-capacity hopper make it suitable for repeated agricultural use.

The high-traction pneumatic tyres help provide drive to the spreading mechanism while also making the spreader easier to tow across paddocks and uneven ground.

Operation

To use the spreader, connect it securely to a suitable towing vehicle and load the hopper with compatible manure or organic material.

With both spreading functions disengaged, the unit can be transported without operating the floor conveyor or rear beaters.

Once in the spreading area:

  1. Raise the transport tailgate.
  2. Engage the floor conveyor drive.
  3. Engage the rear beater drive.
  4. Tow the spreader forward at an appropriate speed.

The wheel-driven conveyor feeds material towards the rear while the rotating beaters break it apart and distribute it behind the spreader.

When spreading is complete, disengage both drive systems and lower the transport tailgate before relocating the machine.

Assembly

The manure spreader requires some assembly before use. Major components are supplied pre-assembled and final setup can be completed using basic hand tools.

Before operation, check all fasteners, chain tension, tyre pressures, hitch components and moving parts, and ensure all guards and safety components are correctly fitted.
