Description
Paddock™ Tractor Finger Wheel Rakes provide a simple and economical solution for forming cut hay, grass, straw and other suitable crops into rows for drying and baling. Available in 2-wheel and 4-wheel configurations, these Category I three-point linkage rakes are crop and ground driven, requiring no PTO or tractor hydraulics.
Paddock™ Tractor Finger Wheel Hay Rakes
Also known as wheel rakes or pin wheel rakes, these Paddock™ tractor implements use large finger wheels to gather cut material into defined rows or windrows. The rotating rake wheels are driven by contact with the crop and ground as the tractor travels forward, eliminating the need for PTO or hydraulic drive.
Choose between the compact SPTSR2W 2-wheel model with a 1.6m working width or the larger SPTSR4W 4-wheel model with a 3.2m working width.

Ground-Driven Hay Rake
The Paddock™ wheel rake does not require PTO or hydraulic power. As the tractor moves forward, contact with the crop and ground rotates the finger wheels, which gather and move the cut material into a row.
This simple drive arrangement reduces the number of powered components and makes the rake suitable for compatible smaller tractors where PTO or hydraulic capacity may be limited.
2-Wheel & 4-Wheel Models
SPTSR2W – 2 Wheel: Provides a 1.6m working width and is a compact option for smaller properties, tighter working areas and lower-volume hay operations.
SPTSR4W – 4 Wheel: Provides a 3.2m working width, allowing greater ground coverage per pass for larger paddocks and hay-making applications.
Both models use 1500mm diameter wheels with 80 fingers per wheel.
Forming Hay Rows for Drying & Baling
Wheel rakes are commonly used after mowing to gather cut hay or grass into defined rows. Creating a loose, consistent row can assist with crop drying and prepare material for subsequent collection or baling.
Operating results will depend on crop type, moisture content, material density, ground conditions, rake adjustment and tractor speed.
Simple Operation
Once connected to the tractor's Category I three-point linkage, the rake can be positioned for working. As the tractor moves forward, the finger wheels rotate through contact with the crop and ground and move material toward the side to form a row.
The rake can then be operated in successive passes across the paddock to prepare rows for drying, collection or baling.
Other Property Maintenance Applications
In addition to hay and crop raking, the finger wheel design may also be useful for suitable light dethatching and gathering applications on larger grassed areas and parkland, subject to ground conditions and correct adjustment.

Coverage Note: Theoretical coverage is calculated from maximum stated travel speed and working width. Actual field productivity will be lower and will vary with crop conditions, turning, overlap, terrain and operating speed.
Tractor Compatibility
Both wheel rakes are designed for compatible tractors with a Category I three-point linkage. Because the rake wheels are crop and ground driven, no PTO connection or tractor hydraulic remotes are required.
Category I linkage alone does not guarantee fitment to every tractor. Confirm linkage geometry, available clearance and the tractor manufacturer's implement requirements before use.
Ideal Companion for the Paddock™ Mini Baler
The Paddock™ wheel rakes can be used to prepare suitable hay and crop rows for collection with compatible baling equipment, including the Paddock™ Mini Baler.

Operation & Maintenance
Correct rake adjustment is important for effective crop gathering and to avoid unnecessary ground contact. Select a suitable operating speed for the crop and terrain rather than automatically operating at the maximum rated travel speed.
Inspect the rake fingers, wheels, fasteners, linkage and frame before operation and lubricate the grease points as required. Keep bystanders clear while the rake is being operated, raised, lowered or transported.
