Description
The Scintex Vehicle Mounted Fogger is a high-output mobile fogging system designed for mounting to suitable utilities, trucks, trailers, quad bikes, ATVs and other vehicles. Combining thermal fogging and ULV cold fogging capability with a large 150L chemical tank and in-vehicle remote control, it is suited to large-area agricultural, pest-management and sanitation applications using appropriately registered and labelled products.
Vehicle Mounted Thermal & ULV Fogger – 150L
Designed for applications where large areas need to be treated efficiently, this petrol-powered vehicle-mounted fogger combines a 150L chemical tank with twin independently controlled fogging resonators.
The unit can be configured for either thermal fogging or Ultra Low Volume (ULV) cold fogging, allowing the application method to be selected according to the chemical product, carrier and treatment requirements.
An in-vehicle remote control allows the operator to control each resonator individually, making the system practical for mobile operation across farms, plantations, orchards, forestry areas and other suitable large sites.

Large-Area Mobile Fogging
Mounting the fogger to a suitable vehicle allows large areas to be treated without manually carrying the equipment or chemical supply. The 150L chemical tank provides substantial solution capacity for extended operations, while the vehicle provides mobility between and throughout treatment areas.
Suitable mounting platforms may include appropriately configured:
- Utilities
- Trucks
- Trailers
- Quad bikes
- ATVs
- Farm and agricultural vehicles
The mounting structure and vehicle must be suitable for the total operating weight of the fogger, fuel and chemical solution.
Thermal Fogging Mode
Thermal fogging uses heat to generate a dense fog from a compatible fogging solution. This produces the highly visible fog commonly associated with large-area mosquito and pest-control operations.
Thermal fogging can provide effective distribution of appropriately formulated products over large treatment areas.
Only use carrier fluids and active chemical products specifically approved and labelled for thermal fogging. Follow the chemical manufacturer's instructions for dilution, application rate, personal protective equipment, environmental precautions and treatment method.
ULV Cold Fogging Mode
ULV cold fogging produces a fine mist without exposing the chemical solution to the high temperatures associated with thermal fogging.
Water-based formulations may be used where the product label specifies that they are suitable for ULV application. Compared with thermal fogging, this method can provide reduced visible fog and avoids the need for a hydrocarbon-based thermal fogging carrier where a suitable water-based formulation is available.
The stated droplet size is adjustable from approximately 5–50 microns, allowing the fogging output to be configured for suitable applications.
Switch Between Thermal & ULV Operation
The fogger can be configured between thermal and ULV cold fogging modes by changing the appropriate valve settings and using a fogging solution suitable for the selected operating method.
Always completely follow the equipment instructions and the chemical product label when changing between application methods or chemical formulations.
Twin Independently Controlled Resonators
The fogger incorporates two adjustable resonators to provide high-output treatment capability. Each resonator can be controlled individually using the supplied remote control system.
This allows the operator to select one or both resonators according to the treatment area and required output.
150L Quick-Release Chemical Tank
The large 150L chemical tank provides extended operating capacity for large treatment areas. The tank is independent and quick-release, assisting with removal when required.
When completely filled, the chemical solution can add approximately 150kg or more to the system depending on the density of the liquid. Vehicle and mounting capacity should therefore be assessed based on the fully loaded operating weight, not the 45kg empty equipment weight alone.
Typical Applications
When used with appropriately registered and labelled products, potential applications include:
- Agricultural pest management
- Crop and plantation treatment
- Orchards
- Farm and acreage applications
- Forestry applications
- Large-area insect control
- Vector-control programs
- Sanitation and disinfection applications
- Council and commercial pest-management operations
The suitability of the fogger for a particular pest, disease, crop, location or sanitation application depends on the chemical product being used and its approved label directions.

Vehicle Mounting Considerations
The fogger must be securely mounted to a vehicle or trailer capable of safely carrying the complete operating load. Consider the weight of the fogger, 16L of fuel, up to 150L of chemical solution and any additional mounting equipment when determining vehicle suitability.
Ensure the installation does not exceed vehicle payload, axle or stability limitations and that the equipment is adequately restrained for the intended operating conditions.
Chemical Use & Operator Safety
Always use chemicals strictly in accordance with their registered product label and Safety Data Sheet (SDS). Confirm that the chemical and carrier are specifically suitable for the selected thermal or ULV fogging method before use.
Observe all specified application rates, exclusion zones, environmental controls, personal protective equipment requirements and re-entry periods.
Do not direct fog toward people, animals, occupied areas, waterways or other sensitive locations unless specifically permitted by the product label and applicable regulations.
